This Privacy Policy explains how the Nutrion mobile application (“Nutrion”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the App.

Nutrion is designed with privacy in mind. The App does not require account creation or login, and most data you enter remains stored locally on your device.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Overview

Nutrion is a nutrition and calorie tracking application that helps users log meals, estimate calories and macronutrients, and receive AI-assisted dietary insights.

The App may include features such as:

• logging meals and food descriptions

• analyzing food photos

• estimating calories and macronutrients

• viewing daily summaries and history

• personalized nutrition insights

• optional premium features available through subscription

The App is intended for informational purposes only and does not provide medical advice.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Most information you enter in the App is stored locally on your device.

This may include:

• food log entries

• calorie and macronutrient estimates

• optional food photo thumbnails

• recipes you create

• daily summaries

• streak data

• widget data

• app preferences and settings

• onboarding information used for calculations such as:

  • age

  • gender selection

  • height

  • weight

  • activity level

  • nutrition goals

This information is used only to provide the core functionality of the App.

3. Information Sent for Food Analysis

To provide AI-powered food analysis features, limited content may be transmitted to our backend and external processing services.

Text-based analysis

If you enter a food description (for example, “200 g grilled chicken with rice”), that text may be sent for analysis to estimate calories and macronutrients.

Photo-based analysis

If you choose to analyze a food photo, the selected image may be transmitted to perform food recognition and nutritional estimation. Images may be resized or compressed before transmission.

This information is used solely to generate the requested analysis.

4. Third-Party Processing

Food descriptions and food images may be processed through third-party AI services in order to generate nutritional estimates and insights.

Depending on the feature used, the following information may be transmitted for processing:

• food description text

• food images

• app language or locale necessary to return results

We do not intentionally include personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or contact information in these requests.

Third-party services may process submitted content according to their own privacy policies.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

Nutrion offers optional premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions.

All purchases, subscriptions, free trials, and renewals are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.

We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Your Apple ID account will be charged according to Apple’s subscription terms.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

Subscriptions can be managed or canceled through your Apple ID settings.

6. Refunds

Refunds for purchases made through the App Store are handled directly by Apple.

We cannot issue App Store refunds.

7. What We Do Not Use Data For

We do not sell personal data.

We do not use submitted food descriptions or food images for advertising or user tracking.

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs.

The App is not designed to build personal identity profiles.

8. Analytics and Tracking

Nutrion does not currently use advertising identifiers for tracking users across apps or websites.

If analytics, crash reporting, or diagnostic tools are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

9. Data Retention

Most data entered in the App remains on your device.

Content transmitted for food analysis is used only to generate the requested result and is not retained longer than necessary to process the request.

If you delete the App, locally stored data will be removed from the App’s storage on your device, subject to iOS system behavior and any backups you may control.

10. Health and Nutrition Disclaimer

Nutrion may process food, nutrition, and wellness information that you choose to enter.

All calorie estimates, macronutrient values, and AI-generated outputs are approximate and provided for informational purposes only.

Nutrion does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making health-related decisions.

11. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will review the situation.

12. International Users

If you use the App from outside the country where the Developer is located, information may be processed in other countries as necessary to provide the requested services.

13. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you may have the right to:

• request access to your personal data

• request correction of inaccurate data

• request deletion of your data

• object to processing

• request restriction of processing

• request data portability

Because the App primarily stores data locally on your device and does not maintain user accounts, most data control can be exercised directly by deleting the App or removing content within the App.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
